V3 – Word Tracks – Building Word Tracks That Work (Part 1)
Summary
Learn the 3 essential steps to grab attention and connect with prospects in the first 10 seconds of any sales conversation.
A good word track is not a script to memorize.
It’s a simple path that helps you connect with people, guide the conversation, and help the prospect make a better decision.
And in FAST…
every strong word track is built around three simple steps:
Grab Attention.
Create Interest.
Help Them Win.
First…
Grab Attention.
This is the first 5 to 10 seconds of the conversation.
Your goal is simple:
Let people know you’re real…
you’re local…
and you’re calling for a reason.
This is not the time to sound clever.
Be clear.
Be confident.
Be natural.
Reference why they requested information…
and ask a simple permission question.
Something like:
“Hey John, this is Bert with State Farm. I’m calling about the quote you requested from a local agent. I had a couple quick questions that could help us make sure we get this right. Do you have just a minute?”
Simple.
Professional.
Low pressure.
That opening does several things quickly:
It confirms you know who they are.
It confirms why you’re calling.
And it positions you as someone trying to help… not pressure.
And that’s important.
Because if you don’t grab attention correctly…
nothing else matters.
In the next section…
we’ll talk about how to create interest and move the conversation beyond just price shopping.
Let’s get crackin’. ????
